The Weigh Feeder is used in continuous bulk proportioning of solids. It is operated by a closed loop control system. This system enables feeding of material at a controlled rate along with precise control over flowing rate. This flowing rate is defined by micro controller.
The Screw Weigh Feeders are used where the infrastructure is not supporting other weigh feeders or space is limited or where other weigh feeders fail to provide a fully enclosed, dust tight system. Screw weigh feeder is similar in function to a fully enclosed Weigh Belt Conveyor or Weigh Belt Feeder. But Screw Weigh Feeder’s cost effectiveness and less space requirement helps it to supersede Weigh belt conveyor or weigh belt feeder.
Applications:
It is mainly used for the products that are meant to be dust free. Specifically, food items like grains or powder products. It is also applicable in the production process where it is necessary to measure and control the feed rate of the different product streams.
